News item: Changes at PCs etc., Inc.

Exciting changes are happening at PCs etc. First let me assure you, our customer that these changes will all be “behind the scene” and that from your perspective, you will see very little difference other than enhanced services and a wider range of service offerings from our firm.

Effective July 1st 2006 PCs etc. was purchased by Source: IT, Inc. Source: IT is very similar to PCs etc. except that they operate out of Greensboro. They are a local consulting company, locally owned with local values. Everybody here is very excited about this acquisition. Source: IT will be consolidating their Greensboro office into Winston-Salem at our same location at 1420 West First Street. The new combined company will add 4 full time network engineers and a full time Apple/Mac computer technician. Your new computer company will have more resources than ever to draw upon from a wide range of networking, software and repair services.

SO WHAT IS CHANGING? Nothing is changing. You can go to the same place you always have or call the same phone number that most of you have memorized by now. BIGGER SOUNDS MORE EXPENSIVE? Absolutely not! With more experts in more areas we will be able to match any problem you have with one of our professionals in that area. This will allow your problems to be handled more efficiently and timely than ever. IS ALL THE OLD STAFF REMAINING? Well mostly. All of our technicians will be staying. Marc Moore will be staying on indefinitely but will cut back his hours to 4 days a week in order to spend some time watching his kids grow up. Chris Smalley will stay on as long is it takes to ensure a smooth transition, but he has elected to pursue other interests.

Over the coming months our new President Kevin Watson will be making his rounds to meet each and every one you. In the mean time, if he hasn’t met you yet and you have a need or just want to talk to the new guy, please just give him a call at 727-1724.
